ñ — the new filipiñana
Role
Team
We were given a brief to create a publication that would represent this new generation of the Filipino Youth with which we are a part of. Rather than going for something trendy and edgy, we decided to create and redefine ourselves as a part of a new growing culture that is ever malleable. A new growing culture that is captured in a new type of Filipiñana publication called ñ (enye).
We wanted to be fearless in our approach, to be bold in our executions, and to be sexy in the sheets.
We wanted to be a platform that empowers open-mindedness, broadens horizons, and ignites the flames of creativity and thought by becoming a catalyst for a new fearless generation.
To accomplish these goals we decided to create the premiere issue called “The New 20’s (Retrospective Prospectivity)”
We showcased the idea of a new burgeoning identity coming out of a growing audience who is coming to maturity this decade. We focused on rising Filipino Avant-garde fashion designers Abraham Guardian and Mamuro Oki with their independent brand Ha.Mu.
